How do you understand food insecurity if you've never experienced it? What is a harmful algal bloom and how does that affect lake residents? And what does it mean to dedicate your life to growing food for others? Explore three musical compositions created exclusively for KX by students in the School of Music to address these very questions. We asked our composers to interpret three stories we developed around food security, water quality, and farm stress. Stories about families who are dealing with the effects of a temporary setback or learning to live under pressure. How would you explain these concepts through music? Listen to our composer stories, read the inspiration for the composition, watch the music videos we've created to complement their work or interact with a musical tool highlighting the factors involved in an environmental problem. |
