What policies or programs are in place to help eliminate food insecurity in Ohio?

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP, traditionally known as food stamps, is the most widely known food assistance program. The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Nutrition Program and the Senior Nutrition Program are two others. The Temporary Emergency Food Assistance program provides commodities to food banks and food pantries. However, critics suggest these programs exist to appease policies and systems that continue to perpetuate poverty.
