A community may be a group of individuals living in the same area or having a common characteristic. For instance, you might say "I live in the community of Woodsfield, Ohio, my hometown."

Another type of community results from sharing common interests, attitudes, and goals, such as the farming community of Monroe County.

You can physically live in one community, such as Woodsfield, and belong to a completely different creative community brought together by your love of cooking.
