Answer

When farmers plant one crop in a crop rotation without tilling first, this is called seasonal no-till. If corn and soybeans are part of a crop rotation, that means the farmers plants two crops in the field in different seasons. When it is time to plant corn, the farmer tills the field first. Then, when the corn is harvested and it’s time to plant soybeans, those seeds are planted directly into the untilled field where some of corn stalks have been decaying on the ground.
