Here is the latest update from the Zoonotic Disease Program at the Ohio Department of Health:
As of 07/15/2021, 4,241 pooled mosquito samples (138,975 Culex spp. total) have been tested for West Nile Virus (WNV). Of the 4,241 pooled samples tested so far, 17 samples have tested positive for WNV. The positive samples are from:
- Franklin County (including Columbus Public Health): 11 positive samples
- Hamilton County (including Cincinnati Health Department): 1 positive sample
- Lucas County: 5 positive samples
No human cases of WNV have been reported.
No human cases of La Crosse virus have been reported.
